The anesthesiologist must have full control of the patient's airway any time. But he may occasionally find himself in a very challenging and dangerous situation, where control of the airway is difficult, Difficulty or failurein intubation is,
fortunately, relative rare. However, when failed in intubation, it is life-threatening.
This case report describes perioperative management of difficult intubation, including careful perioperative evaluation of the upper airway and provision for a secure perioperative airway.
